1 John 2

1Christ is our advocate with the Father, and a propitiation for the sins of the whole world. 3Rightly to know God is to keep his commandments: 7the chief of which is to love one another. 12The apostle addresseth Christians of various ages separately, 15and warneth them against an inordinate love of this world: 18and against deceivers, who were many. 20He sheweth the means they had of knowing the truth, and of distinguishing false teachers; and pointeth out their obligation to abide in the truth which they had been taught. 29He that doeth righteousness is born of God.

1 MY ^alittle children, these things write I unto you, ^bthat ye sin not. And if any man sin, ^cwe have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
