John 15
Under the parable of a vine Christ setteth forth God's government of his church, and exhorteth his disciples to abide in his faith and doctrine: 12he commandeth them to love one another, according to the great love he had shewed for them: 18forewarneth them of the hatred and persecution of the world: 26and telleth them of the testimony which the Holy Ghost, and they also, shall bear to him.
I aAM the true vine, and my Father is bthe *husbandman.
cEvery branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and devery branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

eNow ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
fAbide in me, and I in you. gAs the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: hHe that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for 1without me ye can do nothing.

sGreater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
tYe are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; ufor all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
