Hosea 3

By the prophet taking unto him an adulteress is shewed the desolation of Israel, and their restoration.

1 THEN said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love aa woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, baccording to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, cwho look to other gods, and love flagons 1of wine.

2 So dI bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an 2half homer of barley:

3 And I said unto her, eThou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.

4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days fwithout a king, and without a prince, and gwithout a sacrifice, and without 3an image, and without an h*ephod, and without i*teraphim:

5 jAfterward shall the children of Israel return, and kseek the LORD their God, and lDavid their king; and shall fear the LORD and mhis goodness in the nlatter days.
