Hosea 5

God's judgments against the priests, the people, and the princes, of Israel, for their manifold sins, 15until they repent.

HEAR aye this, bO priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, cO house of the king; for djudgment is toward you, because ye have been ea snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.

And the revolters are fprofound to make slaughter, 1though I have been 2a rebuker of them all.

gI know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, hthou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.

3They will not 4*frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the ispirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.

And jthe pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim kfall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.

They shall go with ltheir flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but mthey shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.

They nhave dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten o*strange children: pnow shall a month devour them with their portions.

qBlow ye rthe cornet in sGibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at tBeth-aven, after thee, O Benjamin.

uEphraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel vhave I made known that which shall surely be.

wThe princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them xlike water.

yEphraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after zthe commandment.

Therefore will I be unto Ephraim aas a moth, and to the house of Judah as 5rottenness.

When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw bhis wound, cthen went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent 6to king Jareb: dyet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.

For I will be unto Ephraim eas a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.

ΒΆfI will go and return to my place, 7till they gacknowledge their offence, and seek my face: hin their affliction they will seek me early.
