1The blessedness and security of the godly: 10the wicked shall repine thereat.
1 PRAISE1 ye the LORD. aBlessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2 bHis seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 cWealth and riches shall be in his house: dand his righteousness endureth for ever.
4 eUnto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is fgracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A ggood man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with 2discretion.
6 hSurely he shall not be moved for ever: ithe righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7 He jshall not be afraid of evil tidings: khis heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until lhe see his desire upon his enemies.
9 He mhath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; nhis righteousness endureth for ever; ohis *horn shall be exalted with honour.
