Psalms 23

David's confidence in God's providential care and goodness.

0 A Psalm of David.

1 THE LORD is my ashepherd; I bshall not want.

2 He cmaketh me to lie down in 1green pastures: dhe leadeth me beside the 2still waters.

3 He erestoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness ffor his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the gvalley of the shadow of death, hI will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou ipreparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou 3anointest my head with oil; my cup jrunneth over.

6 Surely kgoodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: land I will dwell in the house of the LORD 4for ever.
