Psalms 29

1David exhorteth princes to give glory to God, 3by reason of his power, 11and protection of his people.


0 A Psalm of David.

    1 GIVE aunto the LORD, O 1ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

    2 Give unto the LORD 2the glory due unto his name; worship bthe LORD 3in the beauty of holiness.

    3 The cvoice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon 4many waters.

    4 The voice of the LORD is 5powerful; the voice of the LORD is 6full of majesty.

    5 The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

      6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; dLebanon and eSirion like a young *unicorn.

      7 The voice of the LORD 7divideth the fflames of fire.

      8 The voice of the LORD gshaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

      9 The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds 8to calve, and *discovereth the forests: and hin his temple 9doth every one speak of his glory.

      10 The LORD isitteth upon the flood; jyea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.

      11 The kLORD will give strength unto his people; lthe LORD will bless his people with peace.
