The security of God's protection.

A Psalm of David, awhen he fled from Absalom his son.

LORD, bhow are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

Many there be which say of my soul, cThere is no help for him in God. dSelah.

But thou, O LORD, art ea shield 1for me; my fglory, and the glifter up of mine head.

I hcried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of ihis holy hill. Selah.

I jlaid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

kI will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

Arise, lO LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast msmitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

nSalvation belongeth unto the LORD: othy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
