To the 1chief Musician on aNeginoth, A Psalm of David.

HEAR me when I call, bO God of my righteousness: thou chast enlarged me when I was in distress; 2have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

O ye dsons of men, how long will ye turn emy glory into shame? how long fwill ye love vanity, and seek after *leasing? Selah.

But know that the LORD ghath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD hwill hear when I call unto him.

iStand in awe, and sin not: jcommune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

Offer kthe sacrifices of righteousness, and lput your trust in the LORD.

There be mmany that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, nlift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

Thou ohast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

I pwill both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
