Psalms 41
1The recompence of the charitable man. 4David prayeth for mercy, complaining of the treachery of his enemies and apostate friends: 11he acknowledgeth God's favour, and blesseth him.
0 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
1 BLESSED is ahe that considereth 1the poor: the LORD will bdeliver him 2in time of trouble.
2 The cLORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and dhe shall be blessed upon the earth: and 3thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

7 All ithat hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise 5my hurt.
8 6An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: jand now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
9 Yea, 7mine own kfamiliar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath 8lifted up his heel against me.
10 But thou, lO LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
