Psalms 99

1The prophet, setting forth the kingdom of God in Zion, 5exhorteth all, by the example of their forefathers, to worship God at his holy hill.


1 THE LORD areigneth; let the people tremble: bhe sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth 1be moved.

2 The cLORD is great in Zion; dand he is high above all the people.

3 Let them praise thy egreat and terrible name; for fit is holy.

4 The king's gstrength also loveth judgment; thou dost hestablish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

5 iExalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at jhis footstool; for 2he is holy.

6 kMoses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; lthey called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

7 He mspake unto them in the cloudy pillar: nthey kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.

8 Thou oansweredst them, O LORD our God: pthou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

9 qExalt the LORD our God, and worship at rhis holy hill; sfor the LORD our God is holy.
