Romans 12

Paul exhorteth to holiness and conformity to God's will: and to think soberly of the gifts allotted every man respectively. 4We are all members of one body in Christ, 6and should diligently exercise our several gifts for the common benefit. 9Various practical duties recommended. 19Revenge is specially forbidden, and to do good for evil injoined.

I aBESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, bthat ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

cAnd be not conformed to this world: but dbe ye transformed by ethe renewing of your mind, that ye may fprove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

gFor I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, hnot to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think 1soberly, iaccording as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

For jas we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

So kwe, being many, lare one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

mHaving then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether nprophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

oOr ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: phe that 2giveth, let him do it 3with simplicity; qhe that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

rLet love be without dissimulation. sAbhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

tBe kindly affectioned one to another 4with brotherly love; uin honour preferring one another;

vNot slothful in business; wfervent in spirit; xserving the Lord;

yRejoicing in hope; zpatient in tribulation; acontinuing *instant in prayer;

bDistributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

cBless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

dRejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but 5condescend to men of low estate. eBe not wise in your own *conceits.

fRecompense to no man evil for evil. gProvide things *honest in the sight of all men.

hIf it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Dearly beloved, iavenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, jVengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

kTherefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

lBe not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
